Existem músicas que são tradicionais que ouvimos a vida inteira sem saber muito em que época foram feitas ou se trazem uma mensagem. Tenho certeza que todos já ouviram esta música feita por John Lennon em 1972, composta, a princípio, como um protesto contra Guerra do Vietnã. Não por acaso, o subtítulo da canção é “War Is Over” (“A Guerra Acabou”).
A letra é um pedido de paz e esperança algo que nos faz refletir uma vez que ainda vivemos muitas guerras no mundo e mesmo situações muito parecidas com pequenas guerrilhas e enfrentamentos aqui no Brasil.
